Crazy Theories: The Government is spying on you using Facebook!

Facebook has become, without any doubt in my mind, a tool of the government, most likely under the supervision of the NSA, to collect as much information about as many individuals, both here and abroad, as possible. This is being done in order to assess, categorize, and track those who they believe may be a threat to the US, our government, and/or any of those who anonymously influence from behind the scenes. If they were not using it, they’d be absolute fools.

Look at the wealth of information we provide Facebook without them even asking us to. We tell them everyday through our posts just about every aspect of our lives. They know where we eat, where we live, who we live with, where we work, who we work with, where we hangout, who we hangout with, our likes, our dislikes, our dreams, our hopes, our fears, basically, how we feel about everything and anything. That is a wealth of data that has the potential to be used in a number of ways against you. Even if you don’t post about many of those things, it doesn’t really matter because your friends post about it and you too. Even if you never said anything about any aspect of your life, odds are others have and/or they has tagged you in posts or pictures when you have spent time with them or in regards to other joint interests or ventures.

Many of us tag people and  locations in photos.  Even if you have never tagged yourself in a picture, chances are enough people have tagged you in theirs so Facebook’s facial recognition software knows who you are. It’s gotten to a point where Facebook can actually pick you out of a picture and confirm it is you even though the person who posted the photograph didn’t tag you. They may not even know you and you being in the picture may of not have been intentional.  They may have been taking a photo of their group and you just happened to be in the background. Facebook’s facial recognition software identified you and in order to confirm it is you, it looks through your friend’s list and then asks them to verify that it is indeed you!  Recently, I have had Facebook asking me to do that very thing. Tag people I know in pictures taken people I don’t know. Am I crazy or is that not a bit frightening. Well if you are not scared yet, that’s fine because it doesn’t stop there. How long before Facebook will also be able to identify places, a location recognition program? So even without any type of security equipment localities could be identified from just a photograph that was posted on Facebook!

For months now, as I have mentioned before, we have all these personality tests. They are so enticing to fill out, almost impossible to resist. Hell yes, I want to share with everyone that I am 95% player who’s closest matches are celebrity George Clooney, super hero Batman, and businessman Bill Gates. Damn right, my true age is 25 though I’m 35, and if I was drink I’d be a Macallan 64 Year Old in Lalique Scotch that goes for nearly 500k a bottle. How could I possibly go without submitting this quiz that tells all my friends that I am 90% nineties, 95% open minded, and 51% evil, but in the way girls like, you know, that bad boy kind of way without being an A-hole. How do you know I’m not an A-Hole because my results on that questionnaire was only 10%. Oh and I almost forget, I AM 110% TEXAN BABY! YEAH Yea! I just can’t stop, why? It’s almost like, somehow, those who created them, knew what I was interested in. They knew exactly what it would take to get me to volunteer the information they wanted. I wonder how they knew that?***

***If you do know how they could have possibly figured out how to make those quizzes so damn irresistible then I suggest you go back and reread this post from the beginning. Also, I would advise not sharing the results of the new quiz craze that is taking Facebook by storm either.***

GUESS WHAT YA’LL, I GOTS ME AN IQ OF 238! That’s right, IQ tests! They are everywhere! It is the final piece of the puzzle. They now know everything about us: who we are, where we are, who we associate with, how we feel about everything, and how smart we are. If any one of us were ever to go off the grid, for whatever reason, there would be no place or person to run to in which the government wouldn’t be aware. Even if all known associates and locations were avoided, all those questions we’ve innocently answered about our interests, creativity, wisdom, and intelligence would provide enough information to evaluate and predict what our next move would most likely be. Not an option you could think of would not have already been statistically predicted by some super computer somewhere. In other words, if the government ever wanted to find any of us, they could, easily and efficiently. That is some super scary stuff, in my opinion.

I really find it all quite amusing. We get all up in arms about our right to privacy, to speak freely, to bear arms, etc, but, in truth, none of those things would ever do any one us any good, whatsoever, because we’ve already given all those rights up. We’ve done so willingly, almost enthusiastically, by providing them all this information about ourselves and others. Privacy, went out the window the day you created your Facebook account, your free speech can easily be turned against you to persuade people not to put any stock in anything you may say in the future, and whatever guns you own isn’t stopping the death from above that the government can rain down on you through the use of drones. It’s really quite hilarious when you think about it, isn’t it? Not in the traditional sense of course, but in the way you began to laugh when things have become so ridiculously outrageous in some sort of negative way that all you can do is laugh about it. Well all I can say is, enjoy the actual joyful laughter now and hope there is never any reason for the government to come looking for you, because they will find you and there will be nothing humorous about it.

A Thought About God, Love, & Hate.

I was giving religion and God some thought last night. I’m not a real religious person but I believe in God and I am Christian to so occasionally I will read some out of the bible. I was reading some bible passages and the verses I was reading were John 8, the new international version, and I came across the following passages which really got me thinking.

13 The Pharisees challenged him, “Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid.” 14 Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. 15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. 16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true. 18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.” 19 Then they asked him, “Where is your father?”

“You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

I got to thinking are we not all God’s children? Is not all of what we know a creation of God? Are we not to love all of God’s creations? So why is it some of us hate each other or that some of us disparage each other for who they are or for their beliefs? For one to love another one must love themself first, no?  So when we hate others do we not hate what god has created and therefore if we hate what god has created at some level do we not hate a part of ourselves? So hate begot hate and if we hate part of ourselves how can we love others? When this hate we turn on others, turns into some type of hate they feel for themselves once again, hate begot hate. Also, make no mistake that even if you don’t hate someone but disparage them the consequence often results in hate, hate either for themselves, those you disparaged, or for you. So I could come to only one conclusion that hate begets hate and that those who spread messages of hate on some level hate themselves. So what are we to do about all the hate? Isn’t the answer obvious? We love. It’s that simple. Instead of hating ourselves, even if it’s just a piece, we love. Rather than hating others, even if just a piece, we love. After all what is true for hate is true for love as well, love begets love. If we love ourselves and we love each other, then we find and we love god. Then we know ourselves, each other, and therefore him.  For if you do not love all of god’s creations what does that say about your love for god?

Life After Death

Life After Death

First some background information on me:
I was raised as a Christian and although I do not believe in organized religion, I do believe in God and Jesus. I do not hold a lot of faith in the bible but I do believe the basic message written in the good book should be followed. The basic message, to be clear, is that of love and respect for one another.

Now, the bible has you believe that there is a heaven and a hell. Some also believe in purgatory which is somewhere in between Heaven and Hell. I believe much like how God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the same so is Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory. They all exist right here right now in this Universe and the infinite Universes that exist on top of us. I think we all exist in all these Universes simultaneously and that we are actually immortal. We never die we just transfer from one universe to another.

In the beginning, when God created the Universe there was only one. As the Universe expanded, grew, and evolved so did intelligent life. This intelligent life was essentially energy that took a solid form. Unfortunately, that solid form was only temporary and therefore when it was no longer able to house the energy, or the spirit, the spirit needed a place to move on too. Well, the spirit grew rather found of its housing so whenever the housing can no longer contain the spirit the energy just floated about. God, in his infinite wisdom, decided to appease the spirit by then creating an infinite amount of universes so when the body dies the energy would not just be left homeless, so to speak, and could then move into the body of another in a different universe. To live the same life over and over again would just not do so what was decided was that depending on the last life led the spirit would be punished and/or rewarded accordingly. Therefore, we all live in our own personal Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. Now, If the mark we leave on this world is pure and true then we are rewarded with better lives in the next. The opposite is true as well, if the mark we leave in this world, or universe, is not that of purity and truth then we will be punished in the next life.

The reward and the punishment could mean several different things but basically it boils down to the amount of suffering you experience in that next world. First, you must realize there will always be suffering. Without sadness there is no joy; without Heaven there is no Hell. However, the amount of suffering you experience is directly related to how you conduct yourself during both the good times and the bad during this level of existence. As well as, how you treat the people and the world around you. This is includes all living things from plants, to animals, to people, to the earth. Now, does that mean you can’t kill a mosquito that’s biting you or you shouldn’t eat meat? No it does not. There is a natural order to things, to nature. What it does mean is that you respect all living things to the best of your ability. You do not kill without justification and you do not abuse life for profit for amusement. You must follow one basic rule: you treat all life the way you wish to be treated whenever it’s possible.

So, where does that leave you and the people you love when they pass? First, remember they are never truly gone; they have only moved from this life to the next. Now, you may not see them again in your next life but you will see them again at some point. True love transcends Universes. This may sound kind of weird but your true love in this universe may be your mother, or your sister, or your father, or your brother, or best friend, or even just your beloved house hold pet in the next world. It is possible that they will be none of those things. They might just be a stranger that shows you some kindness in a time of desperate need. They will be there though and eventually in another life you will be as close if not closer than you are in this one. When people die it is not our fear that they are misplaced but it is our fear that they are lost to us forever. Have no fear though because as a great man once said and as many have repeated “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Your loved ones will never be truly lost and therefore you will never truly lose your loved ones.

My beliefs are not based on anything in particular. I believe in trying to understand life through science, religion, and philosophy. There are many theories involving all and I think ultimately we will find that none of them on their own explains everything. Much of what I described above is a melding of ideas. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, the rewards and punishment based on the behavior of one in this life can be found in the bible and throughout many religions. My thoughts on energy and multi Universes can be found in several scientific theories. The general questioning and deeper thought that lead to trying to explain anything is what  philosophy is all about. There are also the experiences that people describe like déjà vu or the feeling that you have known someone you just met for a very long time or possibly in a past life. When I put it all together: science, religion, philosophy , experiences, the above theory is the conclusion I reach. In the end though, what I ultimately choose is to have faith.  After all, faith is much better feeling than doubt.
