Throughout history mankind has been shaped by those who educate, enlighten, and inspire with writing. I fear, in this new age of texts, tweets, memes, and over used acronyms, that we are losing something fundamental to what made that possible: the eloquent use of the written word which leads to the exploration of complex thought and emotion. The sharing of knowledge, wisdom, and the human experience using this means is precious and essential to life as we know it. Without it, we wouldn’t have made it this far, and if it is not properly cared for, nourished, and passed on to and by each and every generation, then it and we will cease to be.
My goal with the construction of this site and the material that I share on it is to aid in the prevention of such a tragedy. I wish to inspire, educate, and enlighten others, with not only my own work but with that of those who have done that very thing for me. For the Love of Writing will not only showcase my written endeavors but also that of notable people of interest from the Classical to Modern Day eras. My hope is that something I or another has created will arouse in you the adornment for writing that I and so many others have joyfully found. By doing so ,I believe that in some small way I have done my part in keeping the growth of humanity and its progress to becoming enlightened moving in the right direction.
